Both Mexican properties have moved from free nights to credits, via American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts. Kanai offers $500 toward on-property charges on a three-night stay, booked by Dec 15, 2026 for a stay completed by Dec 17, 2026. Punta Mita offers $250 on a two-night stay, booked by Nov 1, 2026 for a stay completed by Dec 24, 2026.

Why we like it

$500 on a three-night stay is meaningful if you would spend on dining and spa anyway.
Butler service throughout, and Bonvoy points stack on Marriott-booked rates.

The offer, in detail

Both properties have moved away from a complimentary-night structure. Via American Express Fine Hotels + Resorts, Punta Mita now offers a $250 credit toward on-property charges (up from $200), 2-night minimum. Kanai offers a $500 credit toward on-property charges, and Amex has extended it: book by Jan 18, 2027 for travel by May 31, 2027, which now covers spring break. Neither property's own Amex listing shows a free night under this benefit. Butler service throughout; Bonvoy luxury bonus points stack on top of the Marriott-booked rates.

Good to know: Via Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts: Punta Mita's $250 credit requires booking by Nov 1, 2026 for a stay completed by Dec 24, 2026. Kanai's $500 credit requires booking by Jan 18, 2027 for travel by May 31, 2027; Amex's listing previously showed book by Dec 15, 2026 for travel by Dec 17, 2026. Amex's listing as read did not show a minimum stay for Kanai; an earlier check listed three nights, so confirm when booking.
